Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery in Montreal contains 215 Commonwealth war graves from the Second and 252 from the First World War.
During both wars, Montreal was the headquarters of No.4 Military District. During the Second World War, the Royal Air Force Ferry Command had its headquarters at Dorval Airport and there was a Royal Air Force Station at St. Hubert.
Canadian cemeteries contains often also graves of war veterans. These graves have the same headstones as the war graves, but then only with a cross and not with a symbol of an army-unit.
