Grand Theatre Warsaw
The 'Teatr Wielki' was opened on 24 February 1833. The theater was heavily damaged by aerial bombardments during the Battle of Warsaw in September 1939. The Waffen-SS used the ruins as cover for mass executions during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944.
