Military Cemetery with 3,461 fallen German and Austro-Hungarian soldiers from WW1, of which 2,596 remain unknown. All are buried in a singel mass grave (Kameradengrab). Designed by Robert Tischler and inaugarated on 25 July 1939, it sits on a hilltop overlooking the valley of the Piave. From the carpark take the path passing the caretaker house, ignoring the dog and keep right along the orchard for about 300 yards. The grave itself is surrounded by thick walls made of dark blocks of porphyry so that the whole structure resembles a rampart. Besides that it consists of a tall cross, a tower, a hallway leading to a memorial room and a narrow stylized trench leading to a observation point. To be noticed especially are the door of the observation point which is made of rifle barrels and the tranquil memorial room with a black altar stone which holds the names of the fallen en their former buriel places. The Volksbund provides information at the caretaker house and on the opposite are toilets. From their note the inticrate sundial on the house.
