The Northern Cemetery is located in the north of Hilversum.
This cemetery and the buildings were designed by W. M. Dudok and became operational in 1929.
In this cemetery are 16 graves of fallen soldiers of the Commonwealth. 15 graves are in a row. The last fallen is separate.
The casualties are:

Above 13 soldiers were all killed on May 10, 1945,
and served under THE LEICESTERSHIRE REGT
They were killed by a serious accident with a German mine. The Germans had to hand in their weapons and ammunition and one of them threw a mine on a pile of ammunition. As a result, 13 Britisch Allies and a number of German soldiers died.
