This cemetery contains 237 graves of Argentine soldiers who were killed in the Falklands War in 1982. Of the graves, 123 are unknown and only have the inscription "Soldado Argentino Solo Conocido Por Dios" ("Argentine Soldier Known Only By God").
After the conflict the United Kingdom offered to send the bodies back to Argentina, but the Argentine government refused on the grounds that it viewed the islands (Islas Malvinas) as part of Argentina.
Behind the graves is a remembrance wall with the names of all 649 Argentinians who were killed in the Falklands War.
