On the St. Barbarakerkhof in Vreeswijk is one Dutch war grave. In 1943 Wim van Rossum was arrested during a raid and with many others he was deported to Germany. He was employed as a forced laborer in Frankfurt a / d Oder. Presumably in March 1945 Wim van Rossum was fatally hit during an Allied bombing. Only on August 21, 1945 was his family informed of his death, his body was transferred on July 18, 1951 from Germany to the Netherlands where there was a wake in the Barbara Church. The next day the solemn funeral and burial took place on the churchyard.
