Memorial Stones Boldersstraat Former nr. 61

Five Memorial Stones were placed here on 22-11-2015 for:
* HARTOG HILVERSUM (murdered 7-2-1945, Gross-Rosen, aged 46)
* SCHOONTJE HILVERSUM-PEPERWORTEL (murdered 5-11-1942, Auschwitz, aged 47)
* NATHAN HILVERSUM (murdered 30-9-1942, Auschwitz, aged 20)
* SARA HILVERSUM (murdered 5-11-1942, Auschwitz, aged 16)
* JENTJE HILVERSUM (murdered 5-11-1942, Auschwitz, aged 9)

The original house at number 61 no longer exists. The 5 tiles can now be found in an inconspicuous spot between the lime tree and the bench on the corner of ‘t Zand.

These Memorial Stones lie here for Jewish war victims, persecuted, deported and/or murdered in World War II.

These memorial stones are located here for victims of National Socialism (Nazism). They are often placed as an alternative to the official Stolpersteine of the Gunter Demnig project. Where there is no Stolperstein but people still want to commemorate, a slightly different memorial stone or plague is used. The memorials are in most cases laid in front of the last known home address of the victims.
