Memorial Stones Flierbeeksingel (was Flierbeekstraat 1)

Three Memorial Stones were placed here 25-05-2016 for:
* LEVIE MOURITS COHEN (murdered 28-05-1943, Sobibor, aged 68)
* JUDITH COHEN-DRIBBEL (murdered 28-05-1943, Sobibor, aged 70)
* MARIE COHEN (murdered 9-7-1943, Sobibor, aged 39)

During the war, the Cohen family lived at 1. Flierbeekstraat. This street no longer exists. The commemorative tiles can be found on the sidewalk of the current Flierbeeksingel between the ring road and the roundabout at the Kamp.

These Memorial Stones lie here for Jewish war victims, persecuted, deported and/or murdered in World War II.

These memorial stones are located here for victims of National Socialism (Nazism). They are often placed as an alternative to the official Stolpersteine of the Gunter Demnig project. Where there is no Stolperstein but people still want to commemorate, a slightly different memorial stone or plague is used. The memorials are in most cases laid in front of the last known home address of the victims.
