Remembrance Park Teharje

On this location, barracks for the German Wehrmacht were built in 1943. At the end of the war, it was also used as a prison. From end of May 1945, the partisan movement started to use the barracks as a prison for members of the Home Guard and other people who collaborated with the German occupiers. Former prisoners-of-war were also imprisoned here.

A great number of prisoners from after World War II were also executed here.
