Sign Marcus Heim Way
A sign on the bridge over Le Merderet river honors Marcus Heim of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment (82nd Airborne). Along with several others, Heim was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for repelling multiple German attempts to cross the bridge with tanks and infantry on D-Day.
