Sculpture "Forever"

This sculpture of a poppy commemorated the soldiers who were based here and served in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was donated in gratitude for the way the town honoured repatriated military personnel.
The coffins of 355 fallen military personnel passed through the town between Spring 2007 and Summer 2011 and thousands of locals turned out to pay their respects as they passed through the High Street.
