Location Mass Execution Alfacar

On this location, on 19 August 1936, many people (estimates range up to 4000 people) were executed by the Nationalists and buried in a mass grave. One of them was Federico García Lorca, a famous poet and play-writer. He is seen by many as the best Spanish poet ever. His body was never found.
