Memorial Lluís Companys
This memorial commemorates Lluís Companys. He was President of Catalonia from 1934 and during the Spanish Civil War. He was executed by the Franco-regime in 1940, the only incumbent democratically-elected European president to have suffered this fate.
The lady in the monument is Conxita Julià, a good friend of him.
