Memorial Collision Thunderbolts
Near this location, on 5 February 1944, two Thunderbolts from 61 sqdn & 63 sqdn of 56 Fighter Group based at Holton, collided in mid-air and both pilots were killed. Their names were: 2Lt Roger A. Phillips and 2Lt Richard A. Albert.
