Grave Sergeant-Major Edward Cotton

In the garden of the Ferme d'Hougoumont is the grave of the British Sergeant-Major Edward Cotton, who had taken part in the Battle of Waterloo.

He died in 1849 and was buried on the site he knew so well. Later, his body was transferred to the Brussels Central Cimetery in Evere, with the rests of some of the officers who lost their life in the battle.
