Memorial Bridge Settimia Spizzichino

This graceful, white steel bridge (designed and built by Solidus srl.) is an overpass linking Via Ostiense to the Garbatella quarter. In 2012, the bridge was dedicated to the sole woman survivor of the Rome raids of 16 October 1943 – Settimia Spizzichino, who afterwards lived in Garbatella until her death in 2000.

The sign states:

Vittima della persecuzione nazista (1921-2000)

Stolpersteine have been placed for Settimia’s family on Via della Reginella 2.
