Location Former Japanese Navy Headquarters Hainan
This former Japanese navy base was established in 1939 and subsequently bombed in the period 1943-1945.
Five U.S. airmen were held as prisoners of war in this base from April 1945 until the Japanese surrender. Two of them died in captivity.
