This memorial commemorates Wilhelm Leuschner. He was an important politician who was imprisoned several times after 1933. He was also one of the leading figures in the resistance and should have taken place in the new government after the assault on Hitler.
On 16 August 1944, he gave himself in because his wife was taken as hostage. He was executed in Plötzensee at 29 September 1944.
