T-34/76 Turret

There are numerous T-34/76 turrets, converted to memorials, spread across the city of Volgograd, indicating the location of former frontlines and other memorable places. The inscription on the memorial reads:

"Here, in October - November 1942, the crucial phase of defense of the 138th Red Banner Rifle Division under Colonel I. Lyudnikov took place. It survived, repulsed all enemy attacks and by going on the offensive, mercilessly crushed the enemy."
