Remains German MG Nest
At the Veendijk in Lonneker (Enschede) is a German MG nest, constructed in 1943 for the defence of the airfield against English paratroopers.
This location is a convenient because it is overlooks a large open area, which was also there during the war, which is suitable for landing paratroops.
