Grave Carl von Ossietzky
This is the grave of Carl von Ossietzky, on Friedhof IV Pankow Cemetery in Berlin-Niederschönhausen.
He was a pacifist, writer and journalist. In 1936, while he was imprisoned in Esterwegen concentration camp, he was awarded the Peace Nobelprize. On 4 May 1938 he died of the consequences of his imprisonement.
