BL 6 inch 26 cwt Howitzer Cape Town
This is one of the six BL 6 inch 26 cwt Howitzers which returned from France after World War I. Each of these guns, which are spread across South Africa, commemorates a unit that was active in the First World War.
This howitzer in the Company Garden commemorates the dead of the Heavy Artillery - 73rd (Cape) Siege Battery.
