The inscription on this memorial reads:

"On 9 April 1945, the 11th Guards Army under the command of Hero of the Soviet Union Guards Colonel General Kuzma Galitsky fought in the central districts of Königsberg. Here, in the area of ​​the Guards Avenue, the 11th Guards Rifle Division under command of Colonel N.G. Tsyganov, was locked in fierce bloody battles with the German-fascist garrison."
