Père Jacques de Jésus was a Karmelite-priest. In the Second World War he hided Jewish children. After treason, he and the children were arrested. Père Jacques was deported to Güsen concentration camp, where he also tried to help his fellow prisoneres as much as possible. Just after the liberation, he died of illness and starvation. He was buried in the small cemetery of the karmelite-monastry he came from, in Avon.
He was awarded by Yad Vashem as Righteous among the Nations.
