Anne Frank Tree Haelen

This memorial commemorates the victims of the Nazi regime in the concentration camps, among which the Jews, most especially Anne Frank.

The memorial consists of a star shaped planting in which an authentic chestnut tree is planted, a direct seedling from the original Anne Frank tree, fitted with a tree protecter and a hexagonal ornamental fence.

Beneath the chestnut tree a bottle is buried, in which the full story about the background and history of the memorial is recorded.
