Hector Vasyli Memorial

This memorial commemorates Hector Vasyli, who died near this spot in an accident whilst welcoming returned soldiers on 8 June 1918, aged 11 years. Hector did lots of patriotic work for returned soldiers during the war and supposedly gave gifts of cigarettes to returned soldiers and participated in many of the welcome home parades in the city.
