Rockingham Naval Memorial Park

The Rockingham Naval Memorial Park has a number of memorials and plaques for Australian ships which were active in World War II and the Vietnam War.

HMAS Derwent
This plaque at the Rockingham Naval Memorial Park commemorates the HMAS Derwent (F22/DE 22/DE 49), a River-class destroyer escort of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). She was active from 1964 on, including the Vietnam War and other conflicts.

HMAS Arunta
This plaque at the Rockingham Naval Memorial Park commemorates the HMAS Arunta, which was active in the Second World War.

Allied Chinese Ships
This plaque at the Rockingham Naval Memorial Park commemorates the Allied Chinese Ships in the Second World War.

7th Australian Destroyer Flotilla

HMAS Australia
This plaque at the Rockingham Naval Memorial Park commemorates the HMAS Australia (I84/D84/C01), a County-class heavy cruiser of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) which was active in the Second World War. She was awarded with 8 Battle Honours.

Anchor HMAS Perth
This anchor at the Rockingham Naval Memorial Park is from HMAS Perth (D 38), the lead ship of the Perth class guided missile destroyers operated by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).

She was active from 1965 onwards and made three deployments to the Vietnam War, earning an RAN battle honour and two United States Navy commendations for her service.
