Hogback Ridge
Hogback Ridge (Gagyuu Mountain - 臥牛山) was captured by the U.S. Southern Force on 17 May 1943. The ridge was defended by the 1st Company of the 303rd Independent Infantry Battalion under Lt. Hayashi.
