Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park

The Battle of Prairie Grove took place on 7 December 1862 and resulted in a strategic Union victory. The Union lost 1,251 men (dead, wounded, missing of captured), the Confederates 1,317.

Morrow House
This house originally stood 9 miles from here on Cove Creek. It served as the Confederate headquarters during the Battle of Prairie Grove.
