Birth House General Nathaniel Lyon

This great 4-fireplace chimney is all that is left of General Nathaniel Lyon's birthplace homestead at Nathaniel Lyon Memorial State Park. He was the first Northern general who was killed in the American Civil War (1861-1865), on 10 August 1861 at the Battle of Wilson's Creek.
