Information Panel B-17G 43-38103 ‘The Bates crew’
Information Panels Goeree-Overflakkee
This panel is dedicated to the crew of the B-17 "Bates-crew" of the 490th Bomb Group, 850th Bomb Squadron. They crased on 5 April 1945 due to German AA fire. They were all killed.
The Foundation WO2GO are to keep alive the memory of the air war and especially the crew members concerned.
The Foundation had large and small information panels installed.
These panels are at the point where there was a crash or that has taken place the fate of a crew member.
The panel's mission, the unit, but mainly describes the fate of the crew.
