Battle of Brice's Crossroads Memorial

This monument commemorates the Battle of Brice's Crossroads, on 10 June 1864. The southern troops under command of Major-General Nathan Bedford Forrest defeated the Union-troops under command of Brigade-General Samuel D. Sturgis. This victory just delayed the northern capture of the region.
