Memorial Featherston Camp

This memorial commemorates the Featherston camp. Featherston was first used by the New Zealand Expeditionary Force during the First World War. Towards the end of the war it became a POW camp for German soldiers. The camp was again used as POW camp (this time for Japanese soldiers) during the Second World War.
