Between March 1942 and January 1944, Camp 4 Tjimahi was a Japanese internment camp for Allied prisoners of war and Dutch civilians. The camp was located in the garrison of the 4th and 9th KNIL Battalions. From August 23, 1945 to April 1946, the encampment functioned as a relief camp after the Bersiap period.
