The National Cemeteries in the U.S.A. are used for graves of war dead, graves of U.S. military personnel, veterans and their spouses but not exclusively so. There are also special state veteran cemeteries.
Andrew Johnson National Cemetery was opened in 1906 and was built around the resting place of Andrew Johnson, the seventeenth President of the United States. In 2017, there were in total over 2,000 graves on this cemetery.
