Sacramento Valley National Cemetery

The National Cemeteries in the U.S.A. are used for graves of war dead, graves of U.S. military personnel, veterans and their spouses but not exclusively so. There are also special state veteran cemeteries.

Sacramento Valley National Cemetery was opened in 2006. In 2017, there were in total over 30,000 graves on this cemetery.


Sacramento Valley National Cemetery contains the graves of the following people, who fought for the United States of America and who gave their lives in the War in Afghanistan and/or Operation Enduring Freedom:

31 August 2009 , Specialist Jonathan David Welch, aged 19
03 October 2009 , Sergeant Joshua M. Hardt, aged 24
28 March 2012 , Captain Francis D. "Dee" Imlay, aged 31
01 June 2013 , Specialist Ray Anthony Ramirez, aged 20


Sacramento Valley National Cemetery contains the graves of the following people, who fought for the United States of America and who gave their lives in the War in Iraq and/or Operation Iraqi Freedom:

19 July 2007 , Sergeant Ronald L. Coffelt, aged 36
22 July 2007 , Sergeant Shawn Galen Adams, aged 21
11 October 2007 , Staff Sergeant Donald Leon Munn, aged 22
28 January 2010 , Private 1st Class Scott Garland Barnett, aged 24
