Tomb & T-34/85 Tank Colonel Franz A. Grinkevych

Colonel Franz Andreyevich Grinkevych, commander of the 43st Guards Brigade, was deadly wounded on 11 October 1943 in the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine and is currently buried under this tank memorial. The incription on the marble stand reads:

"Eternal glory to the heroes who fell in battle for freedom and independence of our Motherland. 1941-1945"
