Hell's Highway Cycling Route (220km) - South

This route has been compiled by marketgarden.cc of Bart Verhulst. This page has been created in collaboration with him. Marketgarden.cc is a private initiative born out of love for cycling and fascination with the Hell's Highway route, its history, and admiration for the daring men that once rolled their tanks northwards.

The 220 km (137 miles) route is more than double the distance operation Garden had planned. The start is in front of the Sherman Firefly Tank outside Leopoldsburg's (Bourg-Léopold, Belgium) train station. It sets off differently to HH 180, HH 195, and HH 210 right from the start as it takes the rider to a unique cycling experience on an iconic landmark that has nothing to do with Operation Market Garden, 'Fietsen door de Bomen'; a cycle path that safely takes you into the tree tops at a height of 10 metres.

The cycle route shown is 220 kilometers long and is for the experienced cyclist (shorter routes available). The indicated km is a fairly accurate indication, but can vary a little. Especially if you deviate from the route. There are many POI's on this route. Stopping at each one will probably make the trip take too long. Therefore, you will have to be a little selective.
