In October 1944, the Church raids took place in North Limburg. Thousands of Limburger men were arrested and put to work in Germany. A group of 57 Limburgers ended up at the Domδne Rotenkirchen near Einbeck. This farm was leased by the Rabbethge family. They were deployed there from October 19, 1944 to January 10, 1945 for the beet harvest. The group was then spread across the region. The list of 50 names below comes from the Betriebs-Krankenkasse der Firma Carl Rabbethge & Comp. Einbeck; the farm's health insurance.
