Frontflugspange für Zerstörer

On 13th May 1942 the bronze, silver and gpld grades (20, 60 and 110 operational sorties) for the Frontflugspange für Zerstörer (at that time formally the Frontflugspange für Schlachtflieger und Zerstörer) was instituted. Until that moment the Frontflugspange für Jäger was awarded. The decoration was almost the same as the one for fighter pilots, but with the arrow pointing down. Om 26th June 1942 the golden hanger for 400 operational sorties was instituted. For every 100 sorties more a golden hanger with sorties number was introduced on 29th April 1944.
