Bintang Gerilya

The medal is awarded to a military serviceman/servicewoman who has given extraordinary service to fight in order to maintain the sovereignty of Republic of Indonesia from foreign aggression. Most recipients are military personnel involved in the Indonesian National Revolution.

The Guerrilla Star , is a token of honor issued by the President of Indonesia to every citizen of the Republic of Indonesia showing extraordinary courage, wisdom and loyalty in defending the republic during the revolution between 1945-1950, especially during the Dutch Military Aggression I ( 20 June 1947 - 22 February 1948 ) and the Second Dutch Military Aggression ( 18 December 1948 - 27 December 1949 ). Heroes who receive guerrilla stars are entitled to be buried in the hero's grave.

A five-pointed star made of steel with a diameter of 42 millimeters and the center of the circle with a diameter of 20 millimeters is depicted the inscription "PAHLAWAN GERILYA" circled by a string of rice.

A star accompanied by a Patra, which is the same shape and combination as the star, measuring 60 mm in diameter.

The Star Ribbon is a Necklace Ribbon measuring 35 mm wide and red-colored with 3 white stripes 3.5 mm wide dividing into equal parts.
