5 | Recced our positions which we are to take over from Guards Armd Div on the 7th. No. 1 Indep MG Coy NF were all in good heart. We were all surprised to see Major HB Van der Gucht in command as we did not think his nerves would allow him to take part in active ops again. 30 Corps Comd paid a visit to the Bde. | See Appendix J.1 | ||
6 | Coy were paraded and taken to the cinema in BREE for an address by the Div Comd in the morning. Brigadier Sperling held a conference to tie up move and take over. | Appendix E.1 and E.2 | ||
7 | Moved. 12, 13 & 15 Pls took up positions during the morning. 14 Pl owing to the position being under obsorvation during the day was not able to take over until darkness. | |||

18 | We moved into a big school in SITTARD and had all the Coy in school with exception of 15 Pl. | |||
