Operation Unnamed

Operation that should have taken place in the period between D-Day, June 6th, 1944 and Operation Market Garden. This operation was number six in a series of operations and didn’t have a name. The British 1st Airborne division would land in the area Bretteville, approximately 6,21 miles south of Caen. Its goal was to support British ground forces who wanted to wihdraw from the Normandy bridgehead. It was cancelled.
