Oskar Koitzsch and his Ordonnanz-Offizier were detached from their unit in enemy territory on December 20th, 1942. His remains were discovered on December 24th. His Ordonnanz Offizier Leutnant Heinze was reported missing. The exact moment and way Koitzsch was killed is not known.
