Max Otto Erich Treu was stationed in Kempten with the Wehrmacht between 1943 and 1944. Hij had three brothers who also served in the Wehrmacht, Otto Paul Hugo Treu, Wilhelm Treu and Gerhard Wilhelm Albert Treu.

1942: Artillerie Ersatz Regiment, Allgäu.
