Charged with the mission of supporting infantry in an attack on a strong enemy position, ... proceeded under harassing enemy artillery and small arms fire. With disregard for their personal safety, they crawled to the fortification, placed a heavy charge and detonated it. As a result of their courageous action, the fortification was demolished and six prisoners were taken.
