Biography

Laurent Fortin served as a Technician Fifth Grade, 29th Signal Company, 29th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He resided in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on April 18, 1942 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the manufacture of furniture and also as Single, without dependents.

Laurent Fortin was "Killed In Action" near Vire, France during the war and was awarded the "Silver Star" and the Purple Heart.
