Biography

Guy-Bernhard Le Tanneux von Saint Paul finally reached the rank of Rittmeister.
Brother of Harry Le Tanneux von Saint Paul (DK) KIA 19.08.1942 and cousin of Dietrich Le Tanneux von Saint Paul (DK). Guy-Bernhard was apparently named after his uncle (06.08.1890-22.01.1915), who died in Siberia as a prisoner of war of the Russians and served as a Leutnant in the Garde-Schützen-Bataillon.

Rittmeister Guy-Bernhard Le Tanneux von Saint Paul had a severe head wound which had left his brain exposed and pulsing. His thighs had also been crushed.
The doctor who treated him at the time said that Rittmeister Le Tanneux von Saint-Paul was left in a cellar that was being used as a ward for soldiers who had no chance to recover from their wounds. All of the soldiers laid quietly except for Saint-Paul who spent day after day delirious shouting orders.
