Kurt Treuhaupt was Ia with Generalmajor Hermann Franke, Commanding officer of Ersatztruppen Wehrkreis II from September until October 1939. Between 28th October 1939 and 1st March 1940 he ws IIa with the XXI.Armeekorps and the rank of Major. After this he served as IIa with Armeegruppe XXI until December 1940 and as IIa with the rank of Oberstleutnant with Armeeoberkommando Norwegen. He was Kommandeur Schützen-Regiment 146 until 5th June 1942 and commanded the Schützen-Regiment Oslo from 25th February 1942 until 19th May 1944. Between 10th May 1944 and 1st June 1944 he was Divisionsführer with the 25.Panzer-Division, which was then called Kampfgruppe Treuhaupt. Until the beginning of December 1944 he commanded the Panzergrenadier-Regiment 146.
