- Awarded on:

Awarded for his performance as a divisional commander in the 9. Armee's sector in 1943, especially in the repulse of one particular Soviet attack in early December of that year. In the first days of that month the Soviets made a surprise move through the rough terrain south towards Burzeva. However Weidling's innovative tactics enabled his forces to clear the forest and recapture the lost ground northwards as far as the village of Karskaya, thus concluding the battle in the Germans' favour.
1433rd Award.
Awarded for the successful leadership of his Korps during the defensive fighting in East Prussia during late 1944, both in the first battle of East Prussia (16.-28.10.1944) and later during November/December along the Narew front.
115th Award.
